How to Find Your Mineral Foundation Match

Stand in a well-lit room, hold the paper next to your face, and look in the mirror. The contrast helps reveal the undertones in your skin.

If you see peach or orange tones

You likely have peach undertones.

Try these color families:

  • Kindness — Peach
  • Grace — Peach, Olive & Golden

If you see strong yellow or golden tones

You likely have yellow or golden undertones.

Try these color families:

  • Love — Yellow with slight Peach
  • Hope — Yellow / Olive

If you notice a green tone

You likely have olive undertones.

Try these color families:

  • Peace — Neutral Olive

Step 2: Choose Your Shade Depth

Once you know your undertone family, the next step is choosing your shade depth.

  • 1.0 — Ultra Fair (no current shades)
  • 2.0 — Very Fair
  • 2.5 — Fair
  • 3.0 — Fair-Medium
  • 3.5 — Medium-Fair
  • 3.8 — Medium
  • 4.0 — Medium
  • 4.2 — Medium
  • 4.5 — Medium Tan

Additional deeper shades may be developed in the future.

Example

If you determine that you have peach undertones and medium-tan skin, you might start by sampling Kindness or Grace in the 4.0–4.2 range.

Shade References From Other Mineral Makeup Brands

Final Recommendation
